Plenty of apps want you to work out the grammar from examples. That's fine, until you've guessed wrong for a week. If you'd rather hear "this ending changes because it's the past", Eloqa just tells you, in plain English, and then shows you it working.

Then use it, a little at a time

Understanding a rule isn't the same as being able to use it. You get there by using it: remembering a sound without looking, saying a sentence out loud, putting a Hindi sentence together from English, fixing one that's wrong.

That's the part a classroom calls homework. In Eloqa it comes in small pieces: a few minutes of practice after each explanation, and short reviews that come back just before you'd forget. Get something wrong and you see the rule, then have another go. No essays, no marks.

Progress you can trust

A streak tells you that you opened the app. We'd rather show you what you know: the letters you've mastered, the lessons you've passed, and what's due for review today. There are no points to collect, so you can take a day off without losing anything.

The script first

Hindi is written in Devanagari, and reading it opens up everything else: signs, menus, messages, songs. Eloqa starts there, one sound at a time, so you're never leaning on English spellings of Hindi words. If you already read it, a placement test lets you skip ahead.
