What is Eloqa?

Eloqa teaches English speakers Hindi, starting with the Devanagari script and how to pronounce every sound. Every letter has audio and a guide to the sound, and mouth diagrams show where your tongue goes. From there you build real sentences, with the grammar explained in plain English and the grammar name alongside, and an explorer that shows how verbs change with tense and person. Spaced review brings things back just before you'd forget them. There are no streaks or points.

When does it launch?

There's no launch date yet. Eloqa is in development and the beta is invite-only. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when there's a place for you, and again when Eloqa launches.

How do I join the beta?

Join the waitlist with your email address. We invite people in small groups.

What can I use it on?

A working web version runs in your browser. An iPhone app is planned for after the web beta. There isn't an Android app yet.

Who is Eloqa for?

People who learn well with a good teacher: the rules explained clearly, then a little practice, often. If you'd rather pick Hindi up by ear, or you only need a few phrases for a trip, another app may suit you better. Why we teach this way, and how Eloqa compares.

Do I need to know any Hindi first?

No. Eloqa starts from the very first letter and assumes you know no Hindi at all. If you'd like a look ahead, the Hindi alphabet page lists every letter it teaches.

I'm on the waitlist and want to leave. How?

Email hello@eloqalearn.com from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it. The privacy policy explains what the waitlist stores.
